How We Work
How Worker Finder Helps You Find Work — and Find Workers
We connect two groups of people: businesses that need workers, and workers who need the right job. This page explains exactly how our recruitment process works, what happens at each stage and how to get started — whichever side you’re on.
Our approach in one sentence
We only put people forward when we’re confident they match the job, and we only send workers to employers we’d trust ourselves. Everything in how we work comes back to that.
For businesses hiring, that means we do the sourcing, screening and compliance so you receive a short list of ready-to-start job candidates rather than a pile of CVs. For jobseekers, it means one registration with us opens up temporary, contract and permanent roles across construction, logistics, hospitality, care, IT, education and office work, with weekly pay on temporary assignments.
Our head office is on Elder Gate in Central Milton Keynes, and our recruitment teams place workers with employers right across the UK.
For employers
How to start working with Worker Finder as an employer
Whether you need workers for tomorrow morning or you’re planning a permanent hire, getting started takes one conversation. Here’s what happens from your first call to your worker’s first shift.
- 1
Post your job or call us
Send your vacancy through our post a job form, call 01908 103810 or email [email protected]. Tell us the role, location, hours, pay rate and start date. There’s no charge to register a vacancy.
- 2
Brief call and terms
A consultant calls you back to confirm the details that matter: shift patterns, site rules, required tickets such as CSCS, FLT or DBS, and what “good” looks like in the role. We agree a charge rate for temporary workers or a fee for permanent recruitment, and send our terms of business before any work starts.
- 3
We search for job candidates
Our recruitment specialists search candidates in our own talent pool first, then use referrals, targeted adverts and headhunting to find talent for harder roles. You don’t need to write adverts or sift applications.
- 4
Shortlist and approval
Every candidate has been interviewed, referenced and right-to-work checked before you see them. For temporary staff we confirm names and start times; for permanent and executive hiring you receive profiles and choose who to interview.
- 5
Workers start — we handle the admin
Workers arrive briefed on the site, the role and the dress code. For temporary staff, you approve timesheets each week and receive one invoice; we pay the workers, including holiday pay, National Insurance and pension contributions.
- 6
Ongoing support and review
We check in after the first shift and regularly afterwards. Need more workers, fewer, or want to take a temporary worker on permanently? One call to your account manager sorts it.

How we work: frequently asked questions
For employers
How quickly can you find workers?
Most temporary roles are filled within 24–48 hours, often sooner. Permanent roles usually take one to three weeks to shortlist.
Do I pay anything before a worker starts?
No. Registering a vacancy is free. Temporary workers are invoiced weekly for hours worked, and permanent fees are only due once your new hire starts.
What if a worker isn’t right for the role?
Tell your account manager and we’ll arrange a replacement as quickly as possible. Your feedback also helps us refine future shortlists.
For jobseekers
Does it cost anything to register?
No. Worker Finder never charges jobseekers a fee to find them work.
How and when will I be paid?
On temporary assignments you’re paid weekly into your bank account, based on your approved hours. Your payslip shows tax, National Insurance and any holiday pay.
Can a temporary job become permanent?
Yes. Many employers use temporary assignments to find people they want to keep, and we’ll support you through the move to a permanent contract.
