The Role

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a dependable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team.

We are advertising for a picker- packer on our early shift (07.00hrs - 15.30hrs), plus any additional hours in line with business needs.

In this hands on role, you'll play a key part in our production supply chain, picking and packing components and finished products to support smooth operations and meet customer demand.

As a member of the warehouse team you will be working alongside people whose job it is to help ensure customers’ orders are picked, packed and loaded both efficiently and accurately, to a standard that you would expect yourself when receiving a delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with a supportive team.

We are offering a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a view to extending the role or offering a permanent position for the right candidate, subject to business requirements.

Main Responsibilities;

Order Picking- retrieving items from warehouse storage locations based on picking lists or handheld scanners.

Quality Assurance – inspecting products for any visible damage, verifying item batch codes and checking quantities against picking list before packing.

Order Packing – securing items into appropriate shipping protection to prevent damage during transit.

Labelling & Dispatch – printing accurate courier tracking labels, label and prepare goods for shipment.

Inventory Control – replenish low stock picking shelves and assisting with stock checks when required.

Housekeeping – adhering to warehouse safety regulations and maintaining clean, organised workspaces and safe working environment.

Loading – load and unload deliveries – forklift operation when required.

Health & Safety – follow Company H&S procedures at all times.

Mandatory use of safety footwear and hi visibility at all times.

Operational Targets – meet daily productivity and performance targets.

What we are looking for;

Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.

Picking and packing skills.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Physically fit and able to lift/ move goods as required.

Comfortable working to deadlines and daily targets.

Reliable, punctual and a positive team player.

Proficient in using warehouse management systems.

Salary: £13.00 per hour
