Job Description

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our clinical housekeeping team.

The successful candidate will work as a fully integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a safe and appropriate environment for patients and families.

They will maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the department environment, to ensure Infection Control cleaning is maintained, in partnership with the Facilities Team.

Whilst ensuring efficient organisation and provision of food and beverages for patients, if working in an area where patients eat and drink.

They will also ensure adequate stock and maintenance of stores.To support under direction, the ward activity to enable patient flow and capacity.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
• Level 2 or GSCE C/4 grade or above in Maths and English Language or equivalent Assessment of equivalent level through achieving required pass mark of trust numeracy and literacy test.

Desirable
• Level 2 qualification in health-related subject.

KNOWLEDGE & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

Essential
• Experience working with the public.

• Communication/Relationship skills: To be empathetic to staff and families Evidence of being highly motivated and enthusiastic.

Desirable
• Experience working in a health care environment.

ANALYTICAL AND JUDGEMENT SKILLS

Essential
• Able to organise workload and work well with the team.

Excellent attendance record and evidence of being trustworthy and reliable
• Able to manage preset stock levels.

• Demonstrate an understanding of the practices of equality and inclusion in the delivery of this role.

• Punctual and flexible across hours of work when required.

• Able to manage personal emails.

Able to use the Blood Hound with training.
• This role requires physical fitness; lifting, bending, walking, reaching, standing.

Tidy and smart appearance Evidence of being reliable and punctual.
• Demonstrate alignment with the values and beliefs of the Trust.

• Team working.
