Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established social housing contractor, delivering responsive electrical repairs and maintenance across occupied properties throughout North West London.

You will be working directly in residents' homes, carrying out a variety of responsive electrical repairs while providing a professional and customer-focused service.

The Roler
As a Responsive Repairs Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and completing a wide range of domestic electrical repairs and maintenance across social housing properties.
r
Duties will include:
r
r
- Carrying out responsive electrical repairs within occupied social housing properties
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
- Working on lighting, sockets, circuits and consumer units
- Completing repairs to heating controls, extractor fans and electrical accessories
- Carrying out minor installation and remedial works
- Fault finding and aiming for first-time fixes
- Ensuring all works comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Recording completed works using PDA/handheld systems
- Liaising professionally with tenants and residents
- Maintaining clean, safe and tidy working areas
- Working to agreed response times and performance targets
- Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota

Ideally, you'll have:
r
r
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous domestic electrical maintenance experience
- Social housing, council or housing association experience preferred
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Full UK Driving Licence
