JOB ROLE: Trainee Site Manager

LOCATION: Maidstone, Kent

SALARY: £25k - £30k + competitive package

START DATE: September 2026

About the Role:

RGM Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an opportunity for a Trainee Site Manager working with an award winning Kent based Regional Developer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in housebuilding and construction management.

Working alongside experienced Site Managers, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of residential construction, learning how to safely deliver high-quality new homes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of residential construction sites.

• Support the coordination and supervision of subcontractors and trades.

• Help ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any issues.

• Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.

• Assist with maintaining accurate site records, reports and documentation.

• Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site.

• Liaise professionally with suppliers, contractors, colleagues and customers.

• Learn and develop an understanding of NHBC standards, building regulations and construction best practice.

Requirements:
• A genuine interest in construction and residential housebuilding.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities.

• A full UK driving licence (preferred).

• A construction-related qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ, degree or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
